PROVEN
PERFORMANCE
|
Since its introduction in 1948, STYROFOAM brand
insulation, the Blue¹ extruded polystyrene foam, has been a proven
performer in millions of installations worldwide. The reason: its unique,
tight closed cell structure leaves no voids between the cells. The result: high
compressive strength and unequaled resistance to water penetration.
In
a 20 day Water Submersion Test, Molded Bead Polystyrene absorbed about
6% (by volume), Polyisocyanurate about 3%, and Styrofoam® absorbed less than
1%!
In an R-value Retention Field Test, after 5 years,
Styrofoam brand Extruded Polystyrene retained R-value was 93%, unlike the
competitions 28%
& 33%. |
